City Clerk

Responsibilities of the City Clerk include:

  • Providing clerical support to the City Council
  • Administering oaths of office to newly elected officials
  • Keeping and maintaining all election records
  • Issuing and maintaining business licenses and liquor licenses
  • Maintaining all legal notices and documents required by law or ordinance
  • Preparing, filing, and safekeeping all proceedings of City Council meetings
  • Custodian of Records in accordance with the Records Retention Manual of the Missouri Secretary of State
  • Recording all ordinances and resolutions
  • Preparing proclamations
