Belton to keep dispatch services

After considering contracting dispatch services with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Belton has decided to keep the service within the organization.
“The timing just isn’t right,” City Manager Joe Warren said. “We appreciate all the work that our staff and the Sheriff’s Office have each done to create the possibility of a consolidated service.”
