Administration

The City Manager is the chief executive officer of the City and oversees the management of all city affairs as dictated by the Belton City Charter.

City Clerk

The City Clerk's office maintains the records of the city. The City Clerk provides clerical support for the City Council.

The Community Development Department includes Planning, Building, and Neighborhood Improvement. This department is responsible for ensuring that properties in Belton are properly planned, designed, constructed, and maintained.

Economic Development

Our Economic Development Department’s main concern is you, because your success is our success. Our priorities are business retention, expansion and attraction. We aim to utilize all available services and resources to ensure that the City of Belton remains and continually develops as a great location for business.

Emergency Management

Emergency Management is charged with educating Belton residents on what actions they should take in the event of a community-wide emergency.

Finance Department

The Finance Department manages the City’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, payroll and utility billing. The department also provides financial information and resources to help residents understand City finances, taxes and utility services.

Fire Department

Belton Fire Department provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services to the City of Belton. In addition, we also provide service to Mount Pleasant Township via contract and emergency medical services to the Western Cass F.P.D.

Municipal Division Court

The 17th Judicial Circuit - Belton Municipal Division handles all traffic and city ordinance violations written by the Belton Police Department, Code Enforcement and Animal Control

Police Department

The Belton Police Department is dedicated to community safety, manages dispatch for various services, collaborates to enhance quality of life, and plays a crucial role in the justice system.

Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for ensuring safe and reliable drinking water, efficient and smooth travel throughout the City, environmentally responsible treatment of waste, effective stormwater management, and sound stewardship of public funds.
