Adopt-a-Street

Help keep Belton clean through the City's Adopt-A-Street Program.

Individuals and community groups can adopt a City street segment between one-half mile and one mile and complete at least two clean-up events per year for two years. Participating groups are recognized with signs along their adopted street.

How to Adopt a Street

Choose a street. Review the Adopt-A-Street Map and select a street segment your group would like to adopt. Groups may also suggest other locations.
Submit an agreement. Complete the Adopt-A-Street Agreement Form and submit it for review. Allow one to two weeks for approval.
Schedule your clean-up. Once approved, schedule a clean-up event and reserve a Safety Kit.
Prepare your volunteers. Each participant must complete the Volunteer Informed Consent and Release Form. Volunteers under 18 must also have a completed Minor Participation Permission Form.
Pick up your Safety Kit. Submit the required forms and pick up the Safety Kit before your scheduled event.
Complete your clean-up. A copy of the Safety Rules must be available on-site and reviewed by each participant.
Wrap up.Return the Safety Kit and submit the Adopt-A-Street Completion Form and Recognition Sign Request.

Groups should repeat the clean-up process for each scheduled event during the two-year adoption period.

Participating groups are recognized with signs along their adopted street segment. Please allow up to two months for sign placement.
