Cambridge Road between S. Mullen Road and Peculiar Drive is is NOW OPEN. Construction work is still taking place on the roadside. Please be cautious while traveling through and thank you for your patience during this project.
Two of the culverts under E. Cambridge Road are in bad condition. This has allowed soil around the pipes to be washed through the pipes and has caused roadbed failure. These two culverts will be replaced with concrete box culverts and the roadway will be restored. The new culverts will be longer providing a safer shoulder area. They will also be larger to increase the flow capacity to meet current requirements and reduce roadway overtopping during large storms.
During construction, E. Cambridge Road between Peculiar Drive and South Mullen Road will be closed to through traffic.
This project is funded with General Obligation (GO) Bonds that were approved by voters in April 2019.
