How do I obtain a copy of a police report?

A crash report can be obtained through the LexisNexis portal. Please note, LexisNexis charges a convenience fee for accessing crash reports.

Where can I obtain a copy of my driving record?

Driving records can be obtained from any of the Missouri Department of Revenue.

 

How can I obtain my criminal background report?

For a complete background check, an application must be submitted to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

 

How do I get property back that the Belton Police Department recovered?

To reclaim recovered property, contact the property clerk at 816-331-5522 to schedule an appointment. During that call, the clerk will inform you of the documentation or actions required to prove ownership. Once all required steps are completed, you may come in at your scheduled time to sign out and retrieve your property.

How do I obtain a Peddler Permit?

In November 2023, the Belton City Council approved Ordinance 2023-4819 amending peddler/solicitor requirements. Peddler/solicitor ID cards will be issued through the Belton Police Department. The ID card must be worn at all times while soliciting.
