The Jail Unit operates the Belton City Jail and provides information and services related to inmates, bonding, visitation, court-ordered fingerprints and other jail services.

Call the Belton Police Department at 816-331-5522 to find out if someone is being held in the Belton City Jail.
Bond information may be available once the person has completed the booking process. Information about charges is not provided by phone.
Bond may be posted at the Belton Police Department, 7001 E. 163rd Street. Use the Police Department entrance on the east side of the building and follow the signs for bonding.
Credit cards are accepted for Belton charges only. Cash is required for charges from other agencies.

Visitation is available Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Visits are limited to 15 minutes, with no more than two visitors per inmate. Visitors must present a valid photo ID and meet the minimum age requirement.
The Belton Police Department currently provides fingerprints for court-ordered purposes only.
There is no fee for this service. Bring a photo ID and the court order issued by the court.
