Starting a New Business

Before opening a business in Belton, an application, fee and additional paperwork are required to be submitted to the Deputy City Clerk. Businesses physically located in Belton require fire, building, and backflow inspections. Each business license application has a listing of required information and standard fee.

• Belton Commercial Business (located in a commercially zoned area within Belton city limits) Fire and building inspections are only required for NEW licenses, not renewals. Backflow inspection verification is also required.
