The Training Division plans, directs, and organizes the training and credentialing of all members of the Belton Fire Department. Activities include:

·      Developing company level training curriculum for all operations division members.

·      Evaluating training activities

·      Maintenance of all training records

·      Oversite of certification and licensing credentials for all members

·      The division also coordinates training on specialized topics, such as:

·      Hazardous Materials

·      Operations Level Technical Rescue

·      Surface, Ice Water, and Swift Water Rescue

·      Rescue Vehicle Extrication

 

The Belton Fire Department Training Division is led by Training Chief Dave Michael. The training division ensures that members of the department maintain up-to-date certifications and qualifications to provide quality service to the community.

 

Training Division personnel are certified to the Fire Instructor 2, Fire Officer 3, Live Fire Instructor, and AHA CPR Instructor along with numerous other certifications.
