There has been some social media concern about our response to the weather event in the early morning hours of 6/4, and the tornado sirens not being activated. Chief of Police and Emergency Management Director, James Person, provided the following information:

One bulky item per month will be collected at Belton households. Scheduled collection for one "no charge bulky item" is on the 2nd full collection week of each month (Monday begins the week). Please have your items curbside on your regularly scheduled trash day by 7 a.m.
Items not accepted
Appliances or items not qualified as "bulky items" can be collected for an additional fee. Contact WCA at 816-380-5595.
