CITY HALL ANNEX GARBAGE DUMPSTER CORRAL

Work Description:
- Construct a reinforced concrete pad for the proposed corral with block walls on three sides, bollards on the inside to protect the structure, and fencing in front to allow easy access for City Staff and garbage contractor.
- Block used on the walls of the corral shall be split face and be approved by the Engineer prior to installation.
- Concrete pad for the corral shall be 10 feet in width, 21 feet in length, and 8 inches thick.
- Construction of an eight (8) inch thick concrete approach shall be placed in front of the concrete pad to connect the alleyway and the concrete pad.
- All concrete shall be KCMMB 4K mix.
- Finished surface of the concrete pad shall be sloped to the ditch line running along the north side of the alleyway through a pipe in the block wall at the adjoining corner.
- Construction of the concrete pad shall be in conformance with the City of Belton Standard Details for a commercial approach.
- Block walls shall be a minimum of six (6) feet high with #4 bar placed according to the plan attached. The bars shall also tie into the concrete pad.
- Four (4) bollards shall be spaced evenly along the inside of the back wall, and two (2) bollards shall be installed at even spacing to protect each side wall.
- Concrete bollards shall be spaced eight (8) inches from the adjacent wall measured from the centerline of the bollard.
- Concrete bollards shall be eight (8) inches in diameter and four (4) feet tall.
- Gate shall be a minimum of 18 feet wide (9 ft double swing), and constructed with either wood or metal and approved by the engineer.
- Gate shall swing more than 90 degrees and have an overhead clearance of 20 feet.
- Two (2) pin lock holes shall be drilled into the concrete to allow for locking of the gate.
- Ensure the dumpster corral is functional and compliant with local regulations.
- Picnic pad shall be constructed next to City Hall Annex as shown in the attached document.
- Picnic pad shall be KCMMB 4K mix and 10 feet in length and width.
- Construction of the concrete picnic pad shall be in conformance with the City of Belton Standard Details for sidewalk.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 25 feet of five (5) foot sidewalk to change the alignment around the corral.
- Construction of the removal and replacement of sidewalk shall be in conformance with the City of Belton Standard Details for sidewalk.
- All disturbed areas shall be restored with topsoil and seed.
- All disturbed pavement shall be removed and replaced to the satisfaction of the Engineer.
- Access for City officials and the public shall be maintained during construction.
- Payment, performance, and maintenance bonds shall be procured and business license(s) and construction permits obtained as required for the work.
