UPCOMING PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT EVENTS FOR BELTON RESIDENTS

 

Belton, Mo. — The City of Belton is excited to announce several upcoming events offering residents the opportunity to engage with staff and City Council members to talk about the future of our community.

 

Following through on our commitment to transparency and accountability, these events provide a platform to open dialogue, share concerns, and shape the city's long-term vision.

 

City Council Town Halls

Before the City begins developing the next annual budget, City Council members want to hear directly from you about priorities and projects that should be included.

 

Ward 3 Town Hall Meeting

Date: Thursday, Oct. 19

Time: 6 PM

Location: Council Chambers at City Hall, 520 Main St., Belton, MO, 64012

Description: Join Councilmembers Allyson Lawson and Chris Richardson for the Ward 3 Town Hall Meeting. It's a chance for Ward 3 residents to come together, participate in productive discussions, and address community issues.

 

Ward 1 Town Hall Meeting

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 25

Time: 6 PM

Location: Council Chambers at City Hall, 520 Main St., 64012

Description: Councilmembers Perry Gough and Alex McCallum invite all Ward 1 residents to partake in an engaging discussion about the issues most important to our community.

 

Ward 2 Town Hall Meeting

Date: Thursday, Oct. 26

Time: 6 PM

Location: Council Chambers at City Hall, 520 Main St., 64012

Description: Councilmembers Angela Kraft and James Pryan extend an invitation to all Ward 2 residents to join a productive discussion concerning the issues that matter most to our community.

 

Comprehensive Planning Process

City staff is working to update the community’s comprehensive plan, a document that helps guide future growth and development. We want to hear directly from residents and business owners about what they want to see when it comes to future development.

 

N. Scott Corridor Sub-Area Plan Meeting – Comprehensive Plan

Date: Monday, Oct. 23

Time: 3 - 5 PM

Location: Council Chambers at City Hall, 520 Main St, Belton, MO, 64012

Description: The N. Scott Corridor Sub-Area Plan meeting will revolve around the Corridor and utilize an open house-style format. Your attendance is encouraged to express your concerns and provide vital input on the future of N. Scott.

 

Strategic Opportunities Charette – Comprehensive Plan

Date: Monday, Oct. 23

Time: 6 PM

Location: Cass County Public Library Northern Resource Center, 1741 E North Ave. Belton, MO, 64012

Description: The City of Belton invites you to the Strategic Opportunities Charette, a discussion on the Comprehensive Plan for the city. Building on input from the first session, participants will explore strategies and priorities related to growth and development in Belton.
