Sidewalk Replacement Project Begins On N Scott Avenue In Belton

Published on February 23, 2024

BELTON, MO – On Monday, Feb. 26, Freeman Construction is scheduled to start a comprehensive sidewalk replacement project along the west side of N Scott Avenue, starting at Hargis Street and progressing northward. The project is part of the City’s overall North Scott Improvement program that aims to enhance the city's infrastructure through this corridor.

To facilitate a seamless construction process and ensure public safety, the following measures will be implemented:

Daily Lane Closures: Starting Monday, Feb. 26, daily lane closures will be in effect to facilitate the sidewalk replacement project.

Southbound Traffic Diversion: Southbound traffic will be diverted around the work area to optimize construction efficiency.

Isolated Lane Closures: Lane closures will be confined to the immediate work zone, minimizing disruptions to surrounding areas.

Unaffected Northbound Traffic: Northbound traffic along N Scott Avenue will remain unaffected throughout the duration of the project.

Business Access: Businesses along N Scott Avenue will maintain access during the lane closures to ensure minimal impact on daily operations.

To enhance safety measures, channelizers and cones will be strategically placed along the affected areas, guiding southbound traffic into the center lane in locations south of Markey Road.
