Filing for Candidacy for the April 8, 2025 Municipal Election

Filing for seats on the Belton City Council for the annual City election, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, opens Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 8:00 A.M. and closes Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. in accordance with Section 115.127.5, RSMo, as amended.

At said election there shall be elected:

  • One (1) Mayor at-large for the full term of four (4) years.
  • One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 1 for the full term of three (3) years.
  • One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 2 for the full term of three (3) years.
  • One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 3 for the full term of three (3) years.
  • One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 4 for the full term of three (3) years.

Filing may be recorded with the City Clerk at Belton City Hall Annex, 520 Main Street, Belton, MO, during normal business hours from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. There is a $25.00 non-refundable filing fee (cash or check). City offices will be closed December 24-25, 2024, for the holiday.
