High Blue Gallery Space

Arts Commission Logo

The Belton Public Arts Commission is excited to announce the official opening of the High Blue Gallery Space at the High Blue Recreation Center.

This community art gallery space includes more than 200 feet of wall space in one of Belton's most popular destinations where artists of all levels and abilities will have an opportunity to display their artwork for the entire community.

The Commission plans to display local, up-and-coming artists to showcase our community's talent and offer a new space for residents to connect with artists in our City.

Are you interested in displaying your artwork? Read the requirements and fill out the application form below!

Exhibit Requirements

The gallery space is located in a busy section of High Blue and is reserved for 2D art, such as paintings, drawings, photography, etc. All art exhibited in the gallery must be equipped with hanging wire - no exceptions.

Review Criteria

The Belton Arts Commission will select artists to display in the gallery space on a quarterly basis. The Commission will base their selection on originality, craftsmanship and appropriateness for the venue. The Commission will also review the artists narrative and previous experience as part of the application process (linked below).

Sales

All purchase inquiries will be directed to the exhibitor and not staff at High Blue. However, Assistant City Manager Mike Ekey should be notified of sales so a “sold” notification can be placed on the art. Commission does not take a percentage of sales. Artists are encouraged to make a donation to the Commission for future programming.
