Filing for Candidacy for the April 5, 2022 Municipal Election

Filing for seats on the Belton City Council for the annual City election, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, opens Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 8:00 A.M. and ends Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 5:00 P.M., in accordance with Section 115.127.5, RSMo, as amended.
At said election there shall be elected:
- One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 1 for the full term of three (3) years.
- One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 2 for the full term of three (3) years.
- One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 3 for the full term of three (3) years.
- One (1) member of the City Council of Ward 4 for the full term of three (3) years.
Filing may be recorded with the City Clerk at Belton City Hall, 506 Main Street, Belton, MO, during normal business hours from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. There is a $25.00 non-refundable filing fee (cash or check). City offices will be closed December 23, 2021, and December 24, 2021. Candidates will appear on the ballot in the order they have filed.
