How do I obtain a copy of a police report?

The Police Department is authorized to charge for the research, retrieval, redaction, and other administrative costs of complying with your request per Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.

The Fee is $5.00 (Cash only) per report. 

Call  

Call the Belton Non Emergency Number 816-331-5522 to make sure your report has been completed and approved for release. Reports generally take 7-10 officer working days. 

Pick up report

After you have called and have been informed that your report is ready for pick up, please bring the following items with you to the records department located at the Belton Police Department (7001 E 163rd St Belton , MO 64012)

Office hours for the records department are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (except holidays). When you come in you will need to go to the set of windows to your left.

  • $5 cash per report. Currently we do not accept credit cards or debit cards. 

 

 

Where can I obtain a copy of my driving record?

Driving records can be obtained from any of the Department of Revenue's licensed bureau offices. One is located at Main Street and Walnut Street in Belton. Others in the area are located in Grandview and Harrisonville.

 

How can I obtain my criminal background report?

The Belton Police Department only can conduct local record checks. If you are looking to have a local background check on yourself, you will need to bring your picture ID and $5 cash to the records clerk Monday - Friday (except holidays) during normal business hours.
