The City Clerk gives clerical support to the City Council, ensuring that administrative functions operate seamlessly, including the duty of administering oaths of office to newly elected officials.

The City Clerk also serves as the custodian of essential records, safeguarding the integrity of Belton's electoral history and business endeavors. From maintaining all election records to issuing and managing licenses vital for commerce, they oversee almost every facet of regulatory compliance. The City Clerk records ordinances, resolutions, and legal notices. Their commitment ensures that the proceedings of City Council meetings are meticulously prepared, filed, and securely archived, upholding transparency and accountability at all times.
