Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection

Common household hazardous products include paint, paint strippers, varnishes, adhesives and glues, hobby supplies, batteries, motor oil, compact fluorescent light bulbs, antifreeze, lawn and garden chemicals, and pesticides. HHW should not be thrown out with regular trash.

Waste is not accepted from businesses — including home-based businesses, nonprofits, churches and rental properties.

Residents of all participating communities may bring HHW to the event or use one of two permanent collection facilities located in Lee’s Summit (816) 623-3066 and Kansas City, Missouri (816) 513-8400, at no charge.
