Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting - Christmas on Main


Mark your calendar! Join Mayor Norman Larkey and the City of Belton for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and kick off for Operation Santa! Proceeds benefit the Belton Welfare Association.

This event is a fundraiser for the Belton Welfare Association's Operation Santa. Please bring canned goods to donate. Monetary donations accepted.

4:30 p.m.

  • Operation Santa Canned Food and Toy Drive Donations Accepted • Raffle • Free Hot Dogs at Main Street Fire Station

5:00 p.m.

  • Free Popcorn • Hot Chocolate • Cider at Penguin Park
  • Parade Line Up at Hackberry & 2nd Street
  • Food Trucks on Ella Street

5:30 p.m.

  • Light Up the Night Penguin Parade on Main Street
  • Santa arrives!

6:00 p.m.

  • Mayor’s Christmas Tree & Main Street Lighting at Central Bank
  • Belton’s Top Dog announced

6:30 p.m.

  • Santa & Mrs. Claus • North Pole Reindeer
  • Carolers of Note • Free Kids Train Rides at Penguin Park

7:00 p.m.

  • Raffle Prizes must be picked up (Any item not picked up will be donated to Operation Santa)

7:30 p.m.

  • Dance Performers by Main Street PAC in the 400 Block


Belton Top Dog Competition

Do you have Belton’s Top Dog? Enter your pooch in our fun social media competition!

Registration is $10 and all proceeds benefit the Belton Welfare Association. Registration will close Sunday, November 13.

The city’s Top Dog will be recognized at the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 26.
