Citizen's Academy

The Belton Citizen’s Academy for Community Policing is an eight week training program which is taught by Belton police officers.  Students are introduced to various aspects of police work which are highlighted below.  Students must be 18 years of age or older, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions and must be a resident or business owner in Belton.

Aspects of police work to be covered include such things as:

Patrol duties

Detective duties

Traffic related duties

Communications unit responsibly

Technology in police work

And many other subjects.

The next academy is currently being planned.  If you would like to attend, please click on the link below and fill out the application.  The completed application must be signed and then returned to Lt.
