The Belton Parks and Recreation Department operates a dynamic park system for the enjoyment of area residents and visitors. The system is comprised of 11 park grounds, totaling more than 235 acres of developed park space...all with modern amenities. From the armed forces tribute at Smoot Peace Park to historic Memorial Park featuring our Outdoor Water Park and Memorial Station to the busy Markey Park Sports Complex to the scenic Cleveland Lake, our parks provide something for everyone.

It is our mission to provide exceptional parks, programs and facilities that encourage active lifestyles, create healthy environments, build a strong community and enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

Included in our park space is more than 3 miles in developed trails, with more under construction. Parks aren’t just about providing a place for recreation, but about bringing neighbors, neighborhoods and communities together for health and wellness opportunities.

High Blue

High Blue offers a 59,000 square-foot facility complete with a fitness area, group exercise rooms, indoor recreation and competition pools, garage gym, and programs and activities for seniors, adults, kids and families.

It offers quality health and wellness programs to help members reach their health and fitness goals. High Blue offers health club type amenities such as group fitness, state-of-the-art equipment, basketball, personal training, heated pools and a sauna. Memorial Station

Welcome to Memorial Station...The PERFECT place for your special occasion! The Station is nestled in the heart of Belton’s Memorial Park, 602 Maurer Parkway. The open-air design, with eight retractable doors, provides a great opportunity for easy access to the fully furnished patio and a great view of the surrounding park. Once inside you will experience the elegance of Memorial Station, with state-of-the-art audio/video, a grand fireplace, 90” TV, and round tables and chairs to host up to 300 dining guests.

Recreation programs and activities are the gateways to healthy, happy and connected communities, and Belton Parks offers something for everyone, no matter age or ability. We have programs for toddlers, teens, families, adults and seniors, along with financial aid for those who need it.

We have recreation leagues for baseball/softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer…and that’s just a sampling of what’s available. Feeling more grown-up? We also offer adult volleyball and pickleball opportunities…as well as a cornhole league and disc golf tournaments.
