This project is a multi-year program to repair deficient waterlines throughout the City.
This program is needed to improve system performance and fire flow reliability, and to maintain water quality standards. This program will also help to reduce the number of watermain breaks in the City. From 2010 to 2013, 81% of watermain breaks were cast-iron pipes. In the first several years of the program, cast-iron watermain replacements will be the emphasis.
The first project in 2014 included waterline replacements on Myron Ave, Belton Ave, Chadwick St, Canterbury Ln, and King St. The 2015 replacements will include the 900 block of Ridge Dr and the 900 block of Colbern Dr. This program will continue to progress throughout the City over several years.
This year, and in conjunction with the E Pacific Storm Drainage Improvements Project, the waterline replacements will include E Pacific and E Sunrise Drive.
