Insurance Offenses
How to Dispose of an Insurance Offense
Offenses for failing to provide proof of valid insurance are payable without making a court appearance or appearing before the Judge. If you have proof of insurance please send or bring the insurance card to the court office with payment.

Instruction and pricing for failing to provide proof of insurance is listed below:

  • Do not have valid insurance: $223.00
  • Insurance coverage was obtained after the ticket was written: $123.00
(Proof of Insurance Must Accompany Payment)
  • Had insurance coverage on date ticket was written but did not have card with you: Not Guilty
(Proof of Insurance Must Be Provided)

You may come in to the court office, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, prior to your court date and this will waive your appearance in court. If you do not dispose of your ticket prior to the above listed date, you will be required to appear in court on that date. Failure to pre-pay, dispose, appear in court or otherwise respond to this citation as directed by the above date could result in the suspension of your driver’s license and driving priviledge and/or a warrant being issued for your arrest. Other legal penalties prescribed by law may be imposed for failure to appear, pre-pay or dispose of a violation.

Payment must be in the form of visa/mastercard credit or debit; personal check, money order or cashier's check made payable to Belton Municipal Court.
