Permitted home occupations include the following list of uses
and others that are similar in character, and that do not include
retail sales to the public, and do not create greater amounts
of traffic or noise:
1) Art, dancing and music schools, provided that instruction
is limited to four (4) pupils at one time.
2) Professional offices for architects, engineers, planners,
lawyers, accountants, bookkeepers, and similar professions.
3) Offices for realtors, insurance agents, brokers, sales
representatives, and manufacturer representatives when no exchange
of tangible goods is made on the premises.
4) Home electronics and small appliance repair service.
5) Day care services when no more than ten childeren or adults
unrelated to the operator, who are cared for no more than twelve
(12) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period and when permitted
upon the issuance of a Special Use Permit.
6) Home crafts and hobbies such as model making, rug weaving,
lapidary work, cabinet making, etc.
7) Tailoring, alterations, and seamstresses.
8) Saw filing
9) Telephone answering services.
10) The sale of home party products when no exchange of tangible
goods is made on the premises.
11) Catering services.
12) Gun repair and cleaning.
13) Taxidermy.
14) Beauty parlor or barber services.
15) Home offices for businesses that provide goods or services
at locations other than the premises.
16) Internet businesses that sell goods online, but no exchange
of goods or physical transactions ar emade on the premises.
ARE THERE HOME OCCUPATIONS THAT ARE PROHIBITED? YES.
1) Bait shops.
2) Antiques, retail.
3) Funeral and mortuary services.
4) Groceries, retail.
5) Second-hand merchandise.
6) Tourist homes & boarding houses.
7) Equipment rental.
8) Automobile, motorcycle, vehicle, and small engine repair
services.
9) Physicians, dentists, chiropractors, and other medical professions.
10) Machine Shops.
11) Welding.
