The Court processes about 8,000 cases annually, which includes housing code violations, traffic charges and any violations of the general ordinances of the City of Belton.

 

 

HOURS

Regular operating hours are Monday through Friday betweeen the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Telephones are answered from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Cashier's window is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.


PAYABLE OFFENSES

At the time of your offense you will be provided with a mail-in envelope listing all offenses accepted by mail. Payments received by mail must be in the form of a money order or cashier's check. PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If you are unsure whether your offense requires a court appearance or may be paid prior to your court date,
please contact the court office for further direction.

COURT SESSIONS

Court Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings. The first two dockets of the month are Arraignment dockets and begin at 6:00 p.m. The last two dockets of the month are Trial dockets and begin at 6:30 p.m. Dockets for incarcerated defendants are held on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. During court sessions we accept payment(s) in the form of cash, money order, cashier's check and Visa or MasterCard. Personal checks are only accepted on the night of court
if you are a Belton resident.

The Prosecuting Attorney is available to meet with attorneys, complainants and/or victims on Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 p.m.
